21st Annual Venice in Peril Exhibition

Our gallery is transformed into a fascinating spectacle as we are transported to the canals of Venice, adorned with their splendid Renaissance architecture, transitory lighting and treasure memories.  A city where the sunlight twirls a dance across the lagoon and the astonishingly beautiful architecture is caressed by a golden glow.  The reflections in the narrow canals create their very own impressionist paintings.  Venice holds a special place in all our hearts, her timeless and enigmatic charm is intertwined with its perilous status.  Without constant work towards conservation and preservation there is a real risk that we will lose forever a place, not only of unsurpassed beautfy, but of utmost historic significance.

The exhibition has also, throughout the years, contributed towards the ceaseless work taking place across Venice to protect this incredible city.  Over the years we have raised in excess of £100,000 towards the Venice in Peril fun.  The Venice in Peril fund was founded after the great flood of 1966 and since then has restored numerous monuments and saved works of art across the city.

Over 100 artists from all over the world faithfully support us for this exhibition - they continue to procduce a colourful and inspiring array of paintings and watercolours.

Kirker Holidays have committed wholeheartedly and generously support our show.  Each year they provide us with a prize for one of our lucky patrons purchasing a painting during the exhibition.
