“A friend and I arrived at this stunning loch one overcast evening after a great days walk over the hills to the south and set up our tents on the grass to the right of the painting. As usual, when camping, I woke at dawn - about 4 in the morning at that time of year and was greeted by a magnificent sunrise over this superb scene.
I felt for Matthew as he appeared from his tent several hours later only to be met by an over-dramatic artist waxing lyrical on the wonders of a Scottish dawn and reminding him of what he had missed.”
